Feeling overwhelmed and thinking there is always something to do and no time to do it.  This is a thought that pollutes the minds of many people, including my self, from day to day.  These thought or ch0ices may be small and unsubstantial or large and meaningful.  Whatever the case may be, you shouldn’t let these decisions interfere with your daily happiness and your greater goals in life.  Instead we must ask ourselves, “what do I need to do and how can I relax and not sweat the small stuff?”  We must get our priorities straight and find the courage to commit to something meaningful.  Like my father always said “If you are going to start something you better not half ass it.”  Be brave and fully commit to your passion without fear of missing out.  Below you will find a quick exercise that will help you deal with overwhelming situations.

  • spend 10 min to create mental white space, write down everything that is clogging your brain.
  • from that list, cross off every thing that is out of your control.
  • cross out anything that is not important at this time, stuff that has been on your lists forever.
  • close your eyes, take some deep breaths and appreciate the time you have alone.
“Learn to appreciate what you have before time makes you appreciate what you had”
